Emergency Management

Emergency Management encompasses so many aspects during any emergency. The ultimate goal of emergency management is to provide coordinated and managed responsibilities for preparedness, mitigation, response to, and recovery of an emergency. Emergencies can create hazards and greatly hinder impacted areas. Being able to prepare and educate communities is vital to ensuring the safety and longevity of a community. This includes gathering, collecting, and analyzing big data to integrate a data-driven approach into each phase of the emergency management cycle.

Emergency Management consists of driven personnel that help their communities recognize and reduce vulnerabilities and assist with disaster control. We seek to promote safety in all communities to learn how to prevent and cope with hazards and disasters.

Emergency management principles dictate that an emergency and disaster management plan must be: Comprehensive; Progressive; Risk-Driven; Integrated; Collaborative; Coordinated; Flexible; and Professional.
